The Adele Olu of Ilaro-Yewa, High Chief Abiodun Olalekan Ilo, has praised the senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), for what he described as impressive developmental achievements across the district.
High Chief Ilo, speaking from the United States during an online interview with Abu-Satar Hamed of StarTrend International Magazine, said he was particularly impressed by the transformation he observed during his visit to Nigeria for the 2025 Oronna Ilaro Festival.
According to him, the visible improvements—including township roads, newly built classrooms, ICT centres, renovated and well-equipped hospitals, police stations, and recreational facilities—reflect Senator Adeola’s commitment to the welfare of Ogun West residents.
“I’m indeed overwhelmed by the people-oriented projects I saw,” he said, adding that beneficiaries of various empowerment and training programmes also attested to the senator’s impactful interventions.
The US-based traditional chief noted that Senator Adeola’s performance in just over two years at the National Assembly demonstrates his capacity for higher leadership, expressing confidence that he would deliver effectively if elected Governor of Ogun State in 2027.
Responding to a question during the interview, High Chief Ilo stated that he has not yet met Senator Adeola one-on-one but described him as accessible and expressed hope of meeting him soon.
He appealed to the people of Ogun West and Ogun State at large to acknowledge Senator Adeola’s “God-given potential” and support his 2027 gubernatorial aspiration.
High Chief Ilo further disclosed that he, his wife, and other Ogun State indigenes in the United States are actively mobilizing Nigerians in the diaspora to return home to vote and promote Senator Adeola’s candidacy ahead of the 2027 election.
He also urged citizens to remain vigilant and prioritize security by observing their surroundings and promptly reporting suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
