The National President of the Remo Secondary School Old Students Association (RSSOSA), Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, has felicitated the National Vice President of the Association's United Kingdom Branch, Mr. Damola Aiyeola, on his 60th birthday, commending his exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to service and significant contributions to the development of Remo Secondary School.
In a goodwill message to mark Aiyeola's diamond jubilee, Emmanuelking described the celebrant as a God-fearing family man, dedicated leader and distinguished old student whose six decades of life have been defined by purpose, faith, leadership and selfless service.
He said Aiyeola's contributions to RSSOSA reflect a deep understanding of the responsibilities associated with belonging to an alumni association, noting that his leadership has continued to make a meaningful impact on students and the growth of the institution.
The RSSOSA President particularly applauded Aiyeola's role as National Vice President of the UK Branch, stating that his influence extends beyond holding an executive office to actively championing initiatives that promote student welfare and the advancement of the alma mater.
Emmanuelking highlighted several intervention programmes undertaken by the UK Branch under Aiyeola's leadership, describing them as practical demonstrations of the commitment of old students to give back to the institution that shaped their lives.
Among the initiatives are the renovation of classrooms adopted by the UK Branch at Remo Secondary School, the donation of educational materials to outstanding students in both the junior and senior sections, and the sponsorship of holiday tutorial classes for Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) students.
He noted that the tutorial programme was complemented by the donation of textbooks and sanitary pads to students, addressing both their academic and personal welfare needs.
According to Emmanuelking, the achievements recorded by the RSSOSA UK Branch underscore Aiyeola's commitment to impactful leadership and service.
He said the celebrant's leadership exemplifies the true essence of alumni engagement, adding that the success story of the UK Branch demonstrates how old students can transform their affection for their alma mater into practical interventions that positively impact current students.
"As Mr. Damola Aiyeola celebrates his 60th birthday, we pray that God will continue to strengthen and preserve him, granting him wisdom, grace and greater opportunities for service," Emmanuelking said.
