The ancient town of Ilaro-Yewa, headquarters of Ogun West Senatorial District, came alive on Saturday as Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), representing Ogun West in the National Assembly, hosted his 22nd End-of-Year Thanksgiving Service.

The service, held at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Ilaro-Yewa, drew political leaders, traditional rulers, clergy, captains of industry, supporters and well-wishers from across the country.

Delivering the sermon, the Diocesan Bishop of Yewa, Anglican Communion, Rt. Revd. Michael Adebayo Oluwarohunbi, PhD, described thanksgiving as a divine principle that attracts greater blessings.

He congratulated Senator Adeola for returning to God in gratitude, noting that the service was a celebration of divine preservation, good health and increasing responsibility.

Speaking on the theme, “Gratitude That Will Raise Endorsement,” the Bishop urged the Senator to remain steadfast in service to humanity and continual thanksgiving, commending his inclusive approach to governance and delivery of dividends of democracy across Ogun State.

In his address, Senator Adeola expressed profound gratitude to God for His guidance and blessings throughout his political journey, pledging continued dedication to effective representation and service to humanity.

He also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as a mentor and pillar of support, praising the President’s economic reforms and expressing confidence that Nigerians would soon experience their full benefits.

The Senator further commended Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for key developmental projects, including the Gateway International Airport and the proposed seaport.

Senator Adeola also thanked traditional rulers, political leaders, associates and supporters for their steadfast support over the years.

The thanksgiving service was followed by a grand reception at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, where guests were entertained in a celebratory atmosphere.

The large turnout at the event underscored Senator Adeola Yayi’s influence and popularity in Ogun West, as the 22nd Thanksgiving Service marked another milestone in his public service journey anchored on faith, gratitude and commitment to good governance. LOYAMP
