The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has paid tribute to fallen heroes of the Nigerian Armed Forces and commended serving personnel for their sacrifices as the nation marked the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
In a commemorative message personally signed and made available to the media, Senator Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, saluted the courage and dedication of Nigeria’s men and women in uniform for their role in defending the country’s sovereignty and protecting its citizens.
The lawmaker described the Armed Forces Remembrance Day as an opportunity to honour the memory of service personnel who paid the supreme price in the line of duty, while also acknowledging those who continue to serve the nation with commitment and patriotism.
He further expressed solidarity with the families of fallen heroes, noting that their sacrifices remain a cornerstone of Nigeria’s peace and stability.
Senator Adeola urged Nigerians to use the occasion to renew their sense of patriotism and unity, calling on citizens to collectively support efforts aimed at building a stronger and more secure nation.
