The NURTW President, Comrade Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa Felicitates with President Tinubu on his 2nd year in office and affirms the support of the National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW).
BARUWA has described as formidable, result oriented and laudable the giant strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his many transformation activities which ranges from Road infrastructure to Security and healthcare.
BARUWA made this known in Abuja during a chat with the media and made it clear saying " President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom I know from Lagos has been a reformer right from his days as Governor and has again taken these initiatives to the Federal level and this requires the support and patience of all .
PBAT has made various laudable and visible achievements such as
the rehabilitation of the third mainland bridge, Carter bridge ongoing, Lagos Calabar super highway, Lagos Badagry - Sokoto - Kebbi super highway, Primary healthcare centres across Nigeria, offsetting of our IMF loans, onslaught against non state actors In the Northeast, North Central and Northwest.
As a transporter, my priority is ' good roads ' on which our vehicles can move and these various road constructions have started.
We also wish to note the tremendous CNG vehicle initiative with the sole aim of bringing the transport fare down to the nearest minimum and indeed the testimonies have overwhelmed us.
The NURTW President also noted and commended the Minister of Works and the State Minister , Engr Dave Umahi and Barr Bello Goronyo for working tirelessly to actualise the four legacy project points of this Administration.
The Honourable Minister of Transport , Said Ahmed Alkali and his FCT counterpart , Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike ( Mr. Project ) have also worked tirelessly in ensuring that the vision of Mr. President is actualised.
I want to also appeal to Mr President to still do more for the Transport Sector as it is a very important sector of the economy for the everyday movement of human lives.
Once again, NURTW Congratulates the quintessential President Tinubu on his 2nd year in office.
